Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will support dentists in delivering high-quality patient care, (CEREC and CBCT know is a plus) ensuring smooth clinic operations, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. This role requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and proficiency with various dental software systems. The Dental Assistant will play a vital role in assisting with chairside procedures, managing patient records, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. Prior experience in general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, or prosthodontics is preferred, along with familiarity with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, and Epic.
Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures including restorations, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
- Take and develop dental X-rays while adhering to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques.
- Manage patient records accurately using EMR systems like Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
- Perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques to improve efficiency and patient comfort.
- Record vital signs and medical history information including medical documentation and coding as required.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sterile environment following infection control standards.
- Assist with medical imaging procedures including 3D scanning when applicable.
- Support the dental reception team by scheduling appointments and managing patient flow as needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting; experience with dental clinic operations is preferred.
- Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic; familiarity with medical records management is advantageous.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques.
- Ability to operate X-ray equipment safely and effectively; certification in radiography preferred.
- Strong understanding of pediatric dentistry concepts if applicable.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail.
- Certification in CPR or Basic Life Support (BLS) is desirable but not mandatory.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.34 - $30.51 per hour
Expected hours: 32.0 – 40.0 per week
