Position Summary
The Airbnb Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of The Cloister Group’s short-term rental portfolio. This role ensures every guest enjoys an exceptional experience while maximizing occupancy, revenue, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate is highly organized, customer-focused, proactive, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail is essential.
This position serves as the primary point of contact for guests while coordinating closely with housekeeping, maintenance, vendors, and leadership to ensure each property is guest-ready and operating at the highest standard.
Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesGuest Experience
- Manage all guest communications before, during, and after each stay.
- Respond promptly to inquiries, reservation requests, and guest concerns.
- Resolve guest issues professionally while maintaining exceptional customer service.
- Ensure five-star guest experiences and maintain strong online reviews.
Property Operations
- Coordinate property turnovers with housekeeping and maintenance teams.
- Ensure all properties are fully prepared prior to guest arrival.
- Conduct quality inspections and verify cleanliness and presentation standards.
- Monitor inventory and coordinate replenishment of supplies and amenities.
- Schedule preventative maintenance and coordinate repairs as needed.
Reservations & Revenue Management
- Manage calendars across Airbnb and other booking platforms.
- Optimize occupancy rates and pricing strategies.
- Monitor reservations, cancellations, and booking trends.
- Identify opportunities to increase revenue through dynamic pricing and operational improvements.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate reservation and property records.
- Prepare reports on occupancy, revenue, expenses, and guest satisfaction.
- Assist with onboarding new short-term rental properties.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable local regulations.
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with housekeeping, maintenance, and leadership teams.
- Coordinate vendors and outside service providers.
- Assist with developing operational procedures and best practices.
- Participate in special projects and company initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of hospitality, property management, hotel management, or Airbnb management experience preferred.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience using Airbnb, VRBO, Guesty, Hospitable, Hostaway, or similar property management software preferred.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- Ability to solve problems independently and make sound decisions.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing multiple short-term rental properties.
- Revenue management or pricing strategy experience.
- Hospitality or hotel management background.
- Knowledge of cleaning standards and property inspections.
- Experience leading vendors or support teams.
