Job Description
Ideal Candidate:
We are seeking a strong Christian individual with experience and knowledge to operate audio, video, visual and lighting requirements for Mount Vernon Baptist Church. This position will support all Sunday, Wednesday evening, Thursday evening programming and special events as needed. The right candidate should have experience in some combination of the following: audio engineering, video production/editing, stage lighting, live-streaming.
Hours Requirement: 20 hours/week
Salary: Competitive and commensurate with education and experience
Supervised by: Associate Pastor of Worship Arts
Skills Required:
· Bachelor’s degree in field preferred
· 1-3 years of experience serving in a local church or Christian organization
· Detail oriented and highly organized
· Good people skills
· Punctual and reliable
· Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
· Effective troubleshooter
· General knowledge and expertise in Audio, Video, Visual, & Lighting (such as IMAG, Pro-presenter and mixing vocals)
· Willingness to work under the direction of other leaders.
· Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
Job Description:
· Operate equipment as needed during worship services, rehearsals, and other programming
· Assist with tech support needs and stage setup for events in the Sanctuary, Fellowship Hall and Student Worship Center
· Respond to AVL problems and other needs as they arise
· Assist other departments maintain the working condition of their AVL equipment
· Assist the Technical Director in maintaining all AVL equipment and address problems as needed.
· Assist in maintaining and organizing in all AVL equipment closets
· Provide support and set-up for AVL needs for other ministries
· Other Duties as Assigned
· 3 years of experience serving in a local church or Christian organization
· Detail oriented and highly organized

· Ability to recruit, organize, lead and teach technical teams

Job Description:
· Supervise and direct volunteer team during worship services and rehearsals
· Recruit and train volunteer teams
· Prepare and archive all sermon recordings
· Oversee all tech support needs and stage setup for events, including funerals and weddings, in the Sanctuary and Fellowship Hall
· Capture, produce and edit weekly announcement video and additional ministry videos for various departments.
· Oversee stage setup for the sanctuary services including: Sunday morning, Sunday evening, special needs (e.g., children’s choir, etc.) and Wednesday evening
· Manage live video streaming of worship services
· Respond to AVL problems and other needs as they arise
· Assist other departments maintain the working condition of their AVL equipment
· Put together the ProPresenter slides for each service.
· Maintaining all AVL equipment and address problems as needed.
· Maintain organization in all AVL equipment closets
· Provide support and set-up for AVL needs for other ministries
· Other Duties as Assigned
