Responsibilities:
- Perform quality inspections on incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products
- Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers and coordinate measuring machines to ensure product specifications are met
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions
- Follow established QA/QC procedures and protocols to ensure consistent quality standards
-Read/interpret drawings, specifications, and other engineering design documentation
- Performing First Article Inspections (FAIs) in accordance to the AS9102 standard
-Completes quality record documentation at the various inspection steps
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or training in quality assurance is a plus
- Inspection experience of (6) months or more in electronics, specifically Printed Circuit Board assembly, cable harness assembly or manufacturing environment is preferred but not necessary
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Knowledge of quality inspection techniques, tools, and equipment preferred
- Familiarity with quality systems and standards, such as ISO 9001
- Proficient in data collection and computer software programs
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify deviations from specifications
- Communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and communicate findings
- Knowledge of IPC-A-610 and IPC-A-620, certification preferred but not required
