A leading global Federal construction services organization is seeking Project Inspector / QA Manager to support a large-scale FAA construction program in Jacksonville, FL. This is a highly visible field-based role responsible for ensuring construction activities are completed safely, on schedule, and in compliance with contract requirements, FAA standards, approved drawings, and quality expectations.
This position is critical to project success and will serve as the onsite quality representative during active construction activities. The selected candidate will work closely with Construction Managers, Safety personnel, FAA facility staff, contractors, vendors, and project stakeholders to inspect work, identify deficiencies, resolve field issues, and ensure projects are delivered successfully. Many projects occur during non-business hours, requiring an onsite presence from 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities include conducting daily inspections of contractor work, documenting deficiencies, maintaining inspection reports and punch lists, verifying compliance with approved designs and submittals, tracking corrective actions, supporting RFIs, coordinating with field personnel, and providing daily updates to project leadership. Must-Haves
- 5+ years of experience in Construction Management, Construction Inspection, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, or Project Management
- Experience performing onsite construction inspections and overseeing contractor performance
- Strong understanding of construction quality standards, documentation, and compliance requirements
- Experience reviewing construction work against drawings, specifications, and approved submittals
- Ability to maintain inspection reports, deficiency logs, punch lists, and progress documentation
- Experience coordinating with contractors, project managers, and multiple stakeholders
- Strong written communication skills for daily reporting and management updates
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to work onsite Monday–Friday from 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship requirements
Plusses
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field
- FAA, aviation, airport, federal, or government construction project experience
- Construction Quality Assurance (QA) or Quality Control (QC) background
- Experience with Kahua project management software
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience overseeing field personnel or contractors
- Knowledge of RFI management, closeout documentation, and as-built verification
- Experience monitoring contractor compliance with safety, environmental, and security requirements
Pay: $130,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
