Position Overview
I AM VOICES is seeking a mission-aligned Program Support Case Manager (Independent Contractor) to support survivor-centered programs through intake coordination, peer support, documentation, and program assistance. This role plays a critical frontline support function for individuals seeking services while maintaining flexibility and professional independence.
This position also offers a developmental pathway, providing opportunities to learn and shadow residential and house management responsibilities with the potential for expanded duties as the organization grows.
Scope of Work
Intake & Client Support
- Respond to program and intake inquiries and referrals
- Conduct initial screenings and schedule intake appointments
- Facilitate scheduled peer-to-peer support sessions
- Provide trauma-informed guidance, resources, and referrals
- Maintain confidentiality and survivor-centered engagement
Program Support & Learning
- Assist with resident orientations and program transitions as requested
- Shadow house/programs management staff to learn residential operations and protocols
- Participate in walkthroughs or check-ins for learning and support purposes
- Observe and report concerns, patterns, or needs to program leadership
- Support move-ins and transitions under staff direction
- Support outreach and community engagement events by assisting with preparation, coordination, and follow-up as requested
Documentation & Communication
- Complete intake summaries, case notes, and service documentation
- Provide monthly activity summaries to the Programs Manager
- Participate in periodic coordination meetings as scheduled
Mentorship & Capacity Building (Optional)
- May provide task guidance or peer mentorship to interns, as appropriate
- Opportunity for additional project-based work during summer months under separate agreements
Time Commitment
This role is structured around defined deliverables, with an estimated time commitment of approximately 15 per week, allowing for flexibility in scheduling based on program needs and contractor availability.
Required Qualifications
- Master of Social Work (MSW) required
- Experience providing intake, case management, or survivor support services
- Strong understanding of trauma-informed and survivor-centered practices
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Sound professional judgment and ethical boundaries
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Reliable transportation required
Preferred Experience
- Experience working with survivors of sexual violence or human trafficking
- Familiarity with housing programs, transitional services, or community resources
Important Contractor Notice
This position is classified as an independent contractor. The contractor maintains control over work methods and scheduling and is responsible for applicable taxes, insurance, and licensure. Expansion of scope or transition into a residential leadership role would be addressed through a separate agreement or employment classification.
