Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assist with food assembly according to menu specifications and safety standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including food prep areas and utensils
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and quality in all meal preparations
- Operate cash registers efficiently, process transactions accurately, and handle cash or card payments with professionalism
- Support kitchen staff during busy periods by assisting with basic cooking tasks and food plating
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation guidelines at all times
- Provide friendly, prompt service to customers at the cashier station, answering questions and assisting with menu selections
Requirements
- Previous experience in food preparation, dietary aide roles, or the food industry is highly desirable
- Knowledge of menu planning, cooking techniques, and food handling safety standards
- Strong knife skills and experience with meal preparation or catering are a plus
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with restaurant or kitchen experience, including food service operations and food safety protocols
- Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and managing cash register functions
