Women's Care of Alaska is thrilled to expand our team! We are seeking an energetic, highly skilled Full Scope Certified Nurse Midwife to join our collaborative practice.
In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive care across the full spectrum of obstetric and gynecologic services—including prenatal, labor and delivery, postpartum, and family planning. You'll empower patients through compassionate clinical care, health education, and strong team partnership.

Responsibilities
- Deliver full-scope midwifery services including women's health, prenatal, preventative care, patient education and primary care
- Perform comprehensive physical examinations and patient assessments to determine appropriate care plans
- Provide comprehensive intrapartum care, including labor management, attending vaginal deliveries, and serving as first assist during Cesarean sections—all grounded in a commitment to patient safety, comfort, and clinical excellence
- 1 overnight call shift per week with MD back-up and assist with hospital rounding. This includes coverage at Alaska Regional and Providence Alaska Medical Center.
- Office-based care provided four days per week
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, sonographers, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure confidentiality of all medical records in accordance with privacy standards
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of women's health and reproductive patient care practices
- Proficiency in suturing techniques and obstetric surgery assistance experience
- Skilled in-patient assessment, physical examinations, vital signs monitoring, specimen collection/processing, venipuncture, injection administration, and discharge planning
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR
- Excellent client communication skills coupled with clinical professional collaboration abilities
- Knowledge of medical documentation standards ensuring accurate medical records management in compliance with HIPAA regulations
