Join our dynamic team as a Part-time Maintenance Technician and play a vital role in ensuring the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of our facilities. Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities equipment, building interior components, and grounds to identify issues early.
- Perform general building maintenance and repairs, including minor carpentry, painting, drywall repair, plumbing, and electrical work within the scope of experience.
- Maintain the shelter grounds and general exterior upkeep.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, schematics updates, and parts inventory related to facilities maintenance.
- Assist with leading small teams during projects or repairs when necessary, demonstrating leadership qualities and excellent customer service skills.
- Evaluate projects that require outside vendors, obtain estimates when requested, and coordinate contractor services with management approval.
- Ensure maintenance projects comply with applicable safety standards and regulations.
Experience
- Minimum of 3-5 years of building and property maintenance experience.
- Hands-on knowledge of electrical equipment repair, plumbing system maintenance, and building interior/exterior upkeep.
- Experience working with hand tools, power tools, and maintenance painting techniques.
- Previous leadership experience is preferred but not required; a proactive approach to teamwork is essential.
- Knowledge of maintenance, repair & operations (MRO) practices within residential or commercial settings.
