Job Summary
The Field Project Coordinator serves as the eyes and ears of the Operations Manager in the field. This position is responsible for visiting multiple jobsites daily, coordinating with subcontractors, identifying issues before they become problems, verifying quality and progress, documenting project status, and ensuring crews have the materials and information needed to stay productive.
This is not a desk job. The successful candidate will spend the majority of their day visiting construction sites throughout the Houston area.
Responsibilities
- Visit multiple active construction projects each day.
- Communicate daily with subcontractors and field personnel.
- Verify work is progressing according to project schedules and scopes of work.
- Identify quality concerns, safety issues, and potential schedule delays.
- Assist with material procurement and coordinate deliveries.
- Pick up materials or small tools when necessary to prevent project delays.
- Photograph project progress and maintain detailed field reports.
- Update Buildertrend, ClickUp, and project documentation daily.
- Verify completed work prior to payment requests.
- Assist with punch lists and project closeout.
- Report project status, concerns, and recommendations directly to the Operations Manager.
- Coordinate inspections, vendors, and specialty contractors as assigned.
- Maintain a professional relationship with owners, vendors, subcontractors, and onsite management teams.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction site management or civil engineering project management software such as Primavera P6 or Civil 3D
- Strong proficiency with construction scheduling software including Primavera, Scheduling software, or similar tools
- Familiarity with construction estimating, cost management, and contract administration processes
- Skilled in using Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for data analysis and project reporting
- Hands-on construction site experience with a solid understanding of construction plans and site logistics
- Excellent project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under tight deadlines
- Demonstrated knowledge of construction industry standards, safety regulations, and quality assurance practices
- Strong analysis skills for evaluating project performance metrics and scheduling adjustments
- Effective time management abilities to prioritize tasks in fast-paced environments

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
