We are looking for an exceptional, polished, and guest-focused Server to join our opening team and deliver an unforgettable 20-course culinary journey.
Position OverviewAs a Server at Kira Omakase, you are the crucial bridge between our guests and Chef Yoshi Okai’s culinary artistry. This is not a traditional restaurant floor role; it requires an intimate knowledge of fine dining service, high-end beverage pairings, and the ability to anticipate guest needs in a close, interactive 12-seat counter environment. We are seeking a hospitality professional who brings a high level of grace, acute attention to detail, and a warm, engaging personality.
Key Responsibilities
- Impeccable Guest Service: Welcome and guide guests through an intimate, multi-course omakase tasting menu with poise, confidence, and genuine hospitality.
- Menu & Product Mastery: Develop a comprehensive, deep-dive knowledge of daily changing menu items, rare fish species, sourcing origins, and specialized beverage/sake pairings.
- Seamless Execution: Coordinate closely with Chef Yoshi and the kitchen team to ensure pacing, beverage service, and table maintenance flow effortlessly.
- Atmosphere Management: Maintain the refined, energetic, and exclusive ambiance of the omakase room while ensuring every guest feels uniquely cared for.
- Setup & Breakdown: Execute meticulous pre-and-post-service sidework, polishing, and station preparation to meet luxury dining standards.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years of experience as a Server in fine dining, upscale tasting-menu, or high-end omakase environments.
- Product Knowledge: Strong foundational knowledge of Japanese cuisine, sushi/sashimi components, wine, and premium sakes is heavily preferred.
- Presence & Communication: Exceptional verbal communication skills, a polished personal presentation, and the ability to converse comfortably with an affluent, discerning clientele.
- Composure Under Pressure: Ability to multitask gracefully and maintain absolute composure in a fast-paced, high-stakes, intimate service setting.
- Availability: Must have a flexible schedule adaptable to evening shifts and operational opening requirements.
