Interested individuals MUST submit a Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) with their application. Resumes, letters, and other materials do not take the place of the SOQ. The SOQ should have a title of “Statement of Qualifications, Your Name,” be no more than 2 pages, no smaller than 12-point font, and address the following:
1. Describe the state’s process for adopting curriculum frameworks, development of content standards, and instructional materials adoption.
2. Describe your experience with the Next Generation Science Standards, including how you have supported educators, schools, districts, or other educational partners in understanding and implementing three-dimensional science instruction.
3. Provide an example of your experience developing, reviewing, or implementing K–12 science curriculum, instructional materials, or assessment resources. In your response, describe how you ensured alignment to standards, instructional quality, and student learning needs.
4. Describe an instance in which you successfully led a medium- to long-term team project. Describe the project, the challenges you encountered, and why you feel you were successful.
5. How do you build and maintain relationships with colleagues, interest holders, and leadership?
