Embassy Suites Olathe Conference Center, Burger Shed, and the Reserve are searching for a leader to join our dynamic hospitality team as the Assistant General Manager!

Duties
- Assist the General Manager in overseeing all hotel departments, including front desk, housekeeping, and food & beverage
- Supervise staff performance, providing coaching and training to ensure excellent customer service and efficient operations
- Manage hotel revenue strategies through effective pricing, occupancy management, and upselling techniques
- Oversee accounts receivable and billing in relation to the hotel and conference center
- Handle guest relations proactively by resolving issues promptly and ensuring memorable experiences for all visitors
- Coordinate staffing with other department heads and assist with coverage where needed
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with Hilton Quality Assurance and training standards
- Follow and teach Heart of America standards, human resources policies, and safety regulations
- Support recruitment efforts, onboarding new team members, and managing employee schedules
Skills
- Proven supervising experience within the hospitality or hotel management industry
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate diverse teams in a fast-paced environment, including excellent time management skills.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction and relationship building
- Knowledge of revenue management techniques to maximize profitability
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable for effective communication with diverse guests and staff
- Familiarity with hotel management systems, multi-line phone systems, front desk operations, and night audit procedures
- Knowledge of budgeting, human resources management, and operational planning
- Attention to detail, cleanliness, and organization
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations with professionalism and a positive attitude
- Food and beverage operational experience, restaurant and/or banquets
