Clear Path Hospitality is seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Kitchen Manager to help support daily kitchen operations in a fast paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate brings strong culinary experience, leadership ability, and a passion for hospitality. This role works closely with the Kitchen Manager to ensure the kitchen runs efficiently while maintaining high standards for food quality, safety, and team culture.
We currently have Assistant Kitchen Manager openings in multiple locations, including: Chapel Hill, Durham, Holly Springs and Raleigh/Wake Forest.
The Assistant Kitchen Manager plays an important role in leading the back of house team, supporting operational systems, and helping create a positive and professional kitchen environment that reflects our company values.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Kitchen Manager in supervising and coordinating daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation
- Support inventory control by helping order supplies, maintain stock levels, and reduce waste to manage food costs
- Train, mentor, and support kitchen staff to ensure adherence to food safety regulations and service standards
- Monitor kitchen operations to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation
- Assist with shift leadership and scheduling to support business needs while maintaining labor goals
- Work collaboratively with front of house leadership to ensure smooth and efficient service
- Support training and development efforts to strengthen the skills and performance of the kitchen team
- Assist with food cost management, budgeting support, and operational efficiency
- Help foster a positive and accountable team environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth
Qualifications
- 1 to 3 years of hospitality/kitchen leadership experience is required
- Strong culinary knowledge including food preparation techniques, kitchen systems, and food safety standards
- Must have experience working in fast casual dining, full service, or high volume restaurant environments
- Demonstrated leadership skills and experience supporting staff training and development
- Solid understanding of inventory management, kitchen organization, and food production systems
- Ability to stay organized and manage multiple priorities in a fast paced kitchen
- Strong communication skills and a team focused leadership style
Compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, and overall fit for the role. Competitive pay will be offered based on demonstrated kitchen leadership and restaurant experience.
