Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Metal Stud Framer/Drywall Hanger to join our dynamic construction team in Huntsville, Alabama. In this role, you will be responsible for framing with metal studs and installing drywall efficiently and accurately across various commercial and residential projects. Your expertise will contribute to creating durable, high-quality interior walls and ceilings that meet precise specifications. Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install metal studs according to construction plans and schematics
- Hang drywall panels securely using hand tools and power tools, ensuring proper alignment and fastening
- Perform drywall taping, mudding, texturing, and finishing to achieve smooth surfaces ready for painting or further finishing
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to accurately execute framing and drywall installation tasks
- Follow all construction workplace safety regulations and safety protocol adherence to maintain a safe working environment
- Repair or replace damaged drywall sections and perform drywall mudding and texturing as needed
- Assist with fixture installation, door hanging, trim carpentry, and other related tasks to support overall project completion
Experience
- Proven construction experience with a focus on metal stud framing and drywall installation
- Familiarity with reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings in a construction setting
- Knowledge of construction estimating processes and understanding of building codes and safety regulations
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, drywall taping tools, and related equipment
- Experience in drywall repair, mudding, texturing, plastering, and finishing techniques
- Background working on diverse construction sites including remodeling, restoration industry projects, or new builds
- Additional skills such as plumbing, masonry, flooring installation or water damage restoration are a plus but not required
