We are looking for a Front Desk receptionist to assist as our patients’ first point of contact and manage all responsibilities of the front desk domain. This includes triaging and scheduling appointments, registering patients, verifying insurances, assisting patients with their inquiries, and maintaining a clean and orderly reception area. If you have a knack for customer service and work experience in the healthcare field, we’d like to meet you. Ultimately, you will help create a pleasant and memorable stay for our patients.
Responsibilities
- Warmly meet and greet patients upon arrival.
- Perform all check-in and check-out tasks.
- Effectively triage and schedule appointments according to established protocols using EMR software.
- Assist patients with all inquiries (over the phone or in-person).
- Validate and verify health insurances.
- Readily provide information to the patients regarding their appointments.
- Follow all HIPPA guidelines.
- Collect payments (copays, balances, outstanding debts).
- Appropriately prepare forms and documentation.
- Be up to date on commonly prescribed medications.
- Maintain a neat and organized reception area.
Skills
- Be a true professional.
- Able to effectively multi-task (this is a requirement).
- Work experience as a Medical Front Desk receptionist optional, but preferred.
- Experience with customer service.
- Enthusiastic customer service attitude
- Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
- Technical skills are a plus but can also be taught as needed.
- Able to work independently as well as with a team.
- Proficient with computers.
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
