Job Title: Human Resources Assistant
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Human Resources (HR) Assistant provides administrative and operational support to the Human Resources team. This role assists with recruitment, onboarding, employee records management, benefits administration, and general HR functions while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with recruiting activities, including tracking job openings and scheduling interviews.
- Prepare onboarding materials and coordinate new-hire orientation.
- Maintain employee files and HR databases, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Process personnel transactions such as new hires, transfers, promotions, and terminations.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding company policies, benefits, and procedures.
- Support benefits enrollment and maintain related documentation.
- Track employee training and compliance requirements; Assist with payroll-related data collection and verification.
- Generate HR reports and maintain records for audits and compliance purposes.
- Coordinate employee events, recognition programs, and HR initiatives.
- Perform general administrative duties such as filing, scanning, and correspondence.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of HR practices and employment laws.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong organizational, written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
- Exercises discretion with sensitive information.
- Strong time management skills.
- High attention to detail & maintain confidentiality.
- Working knowledge of basic labor laws & HR best practices.
- Customer service skills
- Ability to problem-solve and multitask
- Bilingual is a plus!

EDUCATION
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1–2 yrs administrative or HR experience preferred.
- Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
