Job Overview
The Shift Foreman oversees a team of Manufacturing Operators producing high-quality hydraulic tube and hose assemblies for some of the largest agriculture and construction vehicle manufacturers in the world. The foreman ensures that production, safety, and quality standards are consistently met while coaching, mentoring, and supporting team members. This role is ideal for someone with strong leadership skills, a hands-on understanding of manufacturing processes, and a commitment to continuous improvement in a fast-paced production environment.
- 1st shift operates Mon-Thu, from 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM
- 2nd shift operates Mon-Thu, from 3:30 PM to 2:00 AM
- 4th shift operates Fri-Sun, from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM
Overtime is sometimes required and shift schedules may change, depending on company requirements.
Key Duties
- Supervise, coach, and mentor Manufacturing Operators on a daily basis
- Train new and current employees on department processes, equipment operation, safety protocols, and company procedures
- Monitor production processes to ensure quality, efficiency, and adherence to SOPs
- Ensure all safety policies are followed and that team members are properly using PPE
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment (5S standards)
- Assist with scheduling, workload assignments, and ensuring production goals are met
- Conduct in-process inspections and verify operators’ work meets quality specifications
- Identify and resolve equipment, production, or personnel issues in real time
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing practices
- Provide feedback, performance evaluations, and ongoing development for team members
- Communicate production status, issues, and improvements to management
- Enforce company policies and ensure compliance with safety and operational standards
Qualifications
- 21 years of age or older
- High school diploma or GED required; technical or manufacturing experience preferred
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or production supervisory role preferred
- Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team of production employees
- Strong situational awareness with a commitment to team safety
- Attention to detail with a focus on producing high-quality work
- Mechanical aptitude and understanding of manufacturing processes is a plus
- Ability to work independently and make decisions while supporting company policies
- Strong communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills
Pay: From $28.00 per hour
