The Avon Old Farms Hotel is looking for an individual to become an integral part of our Food & Beverage Team.
**This is a Tipped Position**
Responsibilities:
- Maintain proper and adequate set-up of the bar
- Present drinks using standard ingredient recipes; and practice prudent portion control
- Sets tables in assigned area (or checks to see that they have been set) correctly and uniformly, using: clean, pressed linen (without rips, stains or tears); clean spotted silverware; clean china with no chips or cracks; clean, spotted glassware.
- Properly clean and fill table complements (salt and pepper, sugar, breadbaskets, etc.)
- Learns the menu and is able to explain the major ingredients and preparation methods for each item to be served.
- Complete any assigned side work, such as refilling condiments, shaking and sorting linen, hanging/storing drapes, cleaning/storing serving equipment and/or props, etc.
- Serves alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks, to patrons.
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.(Must be 18 years of age or older)
- Previous bartending experience required.
- Must be able to follow directions and get along well with others.
- Flexibility with scheduling & availability to work evenings as well as weekends & holidays. Able to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Able to bend, stretch and stand for extended periods of time.
- The ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment.
- Must have reliable transportation
