We're looking for an energetic, compassionate team member who loves helping people and enjoys a fast-paced environment. If you smile easily, enjoy learning, and take pride in providing outstanding customer service, we'd love to meet you.
This is not just a receptionist position.
Our team members become cross-trained for patient care, assisting doctors, and helping patients choose eyewear that improves their vision and confidence. Every day is different, and you'll continually learn new skills.
What You'll Do
You'll rotate through several areas of the practice, including:
- Welcoming patients and creating a warm first impression
- Answering phones and scheduling appointments
- Verifying insurance and checking patients in and out
- Assisting doctors during comprehensive eye exams
- Performing preliminary vision testing using advanced technology
- Taking retinal photographs and other diagnostic testing
- Educating patients about their eye health
- Helping patients select frames and lenses they'll love
- Using the practice management system to place eyewear orders
- Supporting a positive, organized, team-focused office

- First 3-months will be training at Martin Road Optometry in Amarillo
Previous experience in healthcare, optometry, ophthalmology, dental, hospitality, retail sales, or customer service is a plus, but we are happy to train the right person.
