Overview: We are seeking dedicated and compassionate CNAs to provide support and assistance to various seniors in need of home care in areas of Contra Costa and Alameda Counties. As a Senior Caregiver, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and comfort of our clients to improve the quality of their lives. This position is a rewarding opportunity to positively impact the lives of seniors in our community. Requirements:
- Previous formal caregiving experience: nursing, or senior caregiving -CNA
- Skilled caregiver able to work with all types of clients, including bedbound
- Knowledge of dementia care and patient care techniques
- Strong Interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients
- Compassionate and empathetic nature
- Capability to assist with daily living tasks
- Reliability and punctuality
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Successful completion of all background and DMV checks
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
- Familiarity with resident rights and social work principles
Responsibilities:
- Assisting with daily activities
- Accompanying seniors on errands, appointments and outings
- Ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for clients
- Reporting any changes in clients immediately to the care team
- Provide personal care services, including bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding
- Perform light house cleaning and laundry
- Effective communication with clients, families, and colleagues
- Offering companionship and emotional support to seniors
- Adherence to company policies and procedures
