Job Description:
Once Upon A Child is seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our team. As a Retail Sales Associate, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service to our customers while assisting with various tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our store.
Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products.
- Answer customer inquiries and provide information about products, processes and promotions.
- Process transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale system.
Buying:
- Assist with sorting and processing items that have been brought in to sell.
- Price and tag merchandise according to company guidelines.
- Arrange and display merchandise in an organized and visually appealing manner.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the sales floor and fitting rooms.
Inventory Management:
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate replenishment needs to management.
- Assist in identifying and marking slow-moving or outdated merchandise for clearance.
Store Operations:
- Follow store policies and procedures regarding security, cash handling, and safety.
- Participate in store opening and closing procedures as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and ensure a positive shopping experience for customers.
- Assist in maintaining a positive and inclusive work environment.
Qualifications:
- Previous retail experience preferred, but not required.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling transactions and inventory.
- Flexibility to work day time, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
