Position Summary
Helicopters play a pivotal role in our missions, and it’s your responsibility as a Helicopter/Tiltrotor Aircraft Maintenance specialist to keep them technically sound. You’ll perform preventive maintenance on helicopters and tiltrotor aircraft, operational rotor checks, and landing, transmission and testing for electrical and hydraulic systems, ensuring they’re ready to go wherever they need to and complete whatever mission lies ahead.
Primary Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair helicopter systems, including rotors, transmissions, landing gear, fuel, hydraulics and electrical.
- Facilitate launch and recovery, helicopter disassembly/reassembly, and other aspects of movement and storage operations.
- Adjust, calibrate and align aircraft systems.
- Prepare aircraft for movement to and from different locations.

Qualifications
This is an active-duty position as an Air Force Reserve officer. To be considered, you must meet the following requirements:
- HS diploma
- Completion of high school is mandatory. Completion of related vocational courses is highly desirable.
- Normal color vision
- ASVAB score on Mechanical of 56 for H-60 Helicopter or 51 for CV-22 Tiltrotor
- Eligibility for top-secret security clearance
- 8.5 weeks of Basic Military Training (BMT) at JB San Antonio-Lackland, TX, followed by Technical Training
