Mukwonago Animal Hospital is seeking a dependable, organized, and compassionate Kennel Manager to join our team! If you have a passion for animal care, enjoy leading others, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we'd love to meet you.
Position Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the kennel and ensure exceptional care for all boarding and hospitalized pets.
- Supervise, train, and support kennel staff.
- Create and adjust staff schedules, including filling in for call-ins or unexpected absences when needed.
- Be available to work weekends and provide schedule flexibility to meet the needs of the hospital.
- Ensure all pets receive proper feeding, exercise, cleaning, and medication as directed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kennel environment.
- Monitor pets for any health concerns and communicate observations to the veterinary team.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and customer service.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in animal care, boarding, veterinary medicine, or a kennel setting is preferred.
- Leadership or supervisory experience is a plus.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy environment.
- Comfortable handling dogs and cats of all sizes and temperaments.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform the physical duties required in a kennel environment.
- Reliable, flexible, and willing to step in when staffing needs arise.
