Compensation
$77.00 - $80.00 per hour
Compensation is based on experience, certifications, and overall qualifications.
We're looking for a PRN Family Nurse Practitioner to join our collaborative team in Providence, RI, serving employees of PPL Corporation and its affiliate, Rhode Island Energy, within the Healthy for Life Clinic. In this role, you'll provide both primary care and occupational health services, focusing on prevention, early intervention, chronic disease management, workplace health, and long-term wellness. You'll have the opportunity to build meaningful patient relationships while supporting the client's occupational health mission in a setting that values quality over volume.
Comprehensive Care: Provide both in-person and virtual visits to increase access and continuity of care.
Diagnosis & Planning: Prescribe medications and develop personalized health plans with your patients.
Occupational Health Services: Perform DOT physicals, work-related injury evaluations, return-to-work assessments, regulatory medical examinations, and other occupational health services that support the health and safety needs of the Rhode Island Energy workforce.
Wellness Education: Educate patients on wellness, prevention, and lifestyle management.
Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, medical assistants, and other clinicians.
Culture: Contribute to a positive, team-oriented clinic culture.
Active and unrestricted FNP license in the practicing state.
Board certification as an FNP.
DEA registration.
Current NRCME (National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners) certification required.
Previous occupational health experience required, including DOT physicals, occupational injury management, and return-to-work evaluations.
2+ years of primary care experience preferred.
Experience treating patients ages 2+.
Familiarity with HIPAA and a strong commitment to patient confidentiality.
Ability to pass on-site credentialing.
