Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Business Manager/Bookkeeper to oversee the financial operations of our organization. Duties
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities including journal entries, account analysis, and account reconciliation using software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or Quicken.
- Perform bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, and general ledger accounting to ensure accuracy across all financial records.
- Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes efficiently, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Prepare detailed financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Oversee payroll processing and ensure compliance with tax regulations; manage tax filings and related documentation.
- Maintain accurate records of debits & credits, journal entries, and double-entry bookkeeping processes.
- Support budgeting activities by analyzing expenses and revenue trends to aid strategic planning.
- Assist with governmental accounting requirements and ensure adherence to relevant regulations.
- Utilize technical accounting skills for account analysis, account reconciliation, and general ledger management to support organizational financial health.
Experience
- Proven experience in public accounting or corporate accounting roles with a focus on bookkeeping and financial management.
- Extensive knowledge of accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms; proficiency in financial software is essential.
- Strong understanding of GAAP standards and governmental accounting practices where applicable.
- Demonstrated ability to perform bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliation, and general ledger accounting accurately.
- Experience with payroll processing, tax experience related to business operations, and accounts payable/receivable management.
- Familiarity with budgeting processes and financial report writing to support organizational decision-making.
- Excellent skills in account analysis, account reconciliation, 10-key typing for data entry accuracy, and technical accounting concepts. Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
