Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service to enhance their shopping experience
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for retail sales transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
- Conduct product demos to educate customers about our offerings and encourage upselling opportunities
- Maintain attractive merchandising displays and ensure products are stocked, organized, and appealing
- Assist with inventory management by stocking shelves, conducting stock counts, and supporting merchandising initiatives
- Handle phone inquiries professionally while practicing excellent phone etiquette
- Support supervising team members during busy periods, helping to oversee daily operations and ensure store standards are met
- Serve ice cream, create waffle cones and chocolate filling
- Maintain store cleanliness to exceed required health standards
Skills
- Proven experience with POS systems, cashiering, and retail sales transactions
- Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse customers; bilingual abilities are a plus
- Previous supervising experience or leadership roles in retail environments preferred
- Knowledge of grocery store or retail store operations including stocking, merchandising, and product demos
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling, retail math calculations, and sales reporting
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and proactive approach
- Familiarity with upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities
- Experience with phone etiquette and professional communication standards in retail settings
