Role Description
We are looking for an Product Development & Sourcing manager based in New York to support product selection, vendor communication, sample development, costing, and production follow-up for Orolay’s apparel collections
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with channel leaders to develop merchandising strategies aligned with annual budgets and sales targets
- Define product direction based on target customer profiles, brand positioning, and channel needs
- Participate in product selection, samples buying, product development discussions
- Identify potential best-selling styles through market trend analysis, competitive research, and data insights
- Support decision-making on color, fabric, fit, pricing, and product assortment
- Analyze sales performance, customer feedback, and return reasons to optimize product selection
- Work closely with design, production, marketing, and e-commerce teams to bring products to market
- Prepare regular reports on market trends, competitive analysis, and buying strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (Fashion, Merchandising, Marketing, Business, or related fields)
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in fashion/apparel product development, merchandising, sourcing, buying, or related roles.
- Open to strong new graduates
- Strong interest in fashion, apparel, and consumer trends
- Basic analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and customer insights
- Strong commercial sense and results-oriented mindset
- Fluent in both English and Chinese (Chinese required)
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and a strong team player
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: Start from $85,000/year, based on experience
