American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry position at a Magnet-designated acute care hospital in Illinois, requiring high-risk telemetry experience and Epic proficiency.

Telemetry unit within a Magnet-designated acute care hospital with 40 beds on the unit and 222 facility-wide
-
High-risk telemetry patient population requiring cardiac drip management, sheath pulls, and central line management
-
Patient ratio of 1:5-6

Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (18:45–07:15)

Every other weekend required, with an expectation of 6 weekend shifts (Saturday or Sunday) per 6-week schedule

No on-call requirements

Floating required to all inpatient units at both campuses within scope of practice

Block scheduling is not available

Charting via Epic; experience required

Free parking available

Active IL RN license required; pending IL license is not accepted

Current BLS and ACLS certifications required

Minimum 2 years of RN experience required

High-risk telemetry experience required

Proficiency in cardiac drip management, sheath pulls, and central line management required

Candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are subject to a local pay rate rather than the standard travel rate
-
RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract; no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation

Travelers may remain at this facility for up to 18 months, after which a 3-month break in service is required
-
Former permanent employees of this health system must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler

Orientation modules must be completed prior to or during the start of the assignment
