*Job Overview*
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Dog Daycare Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and supervision for dogs in a daycare setting. You will ensure a safe, clean, and stimulating environment for all pets while promoting positive interactions among the dogs. Your love for animals and ability to handle various breeds will be essential in creating a fun and engaging atmosphere.
*Responsibilities*
- Supervise and engage with dogs during playtime to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Maintain cleanliness of the daycare facility, including regular cleaning of play areas, kennels, and feeding areas.
- Feed and provide fresh water to the dogs according to their individual needs.
- Monitor dog behavior and intervene when necessary to prevent conflicts or injuries.
- Administer basic first aid as needed and report any health concerns to management.
- Assist with dog handling during drop-off and pick-up times, ensuring a smooth transition for pets and their owners.
- Keep accurate records of each dog's activities, feeding schedules, and any incidents that occur during their stay.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about their dog's day at daycare.
*Skills*
- Strong knowledge of animal care practices, including animal restraint techniques.
- Previous experience in pet sitting or dog training is beneficial.
- Familiarity with kennel operations and procedures is preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary (e.g., lifting large bags of dog food).
- Excellent dog handling skills with the ability to manage multiple dogs of varying sizes and temperaments.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with both pets and their owners.
