Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Substitute Childcare Provider to join our team. Ideal candidates will be passionate about working with children and committed to fostering a safe, engaging, and educational environment. This role involves caring for children in a daycare preschool classroom. Our Childcare Providers play a crucial role in the development and well-being of the children in our care.
Schedule
As a substitute your schedule will vary. We are happy to talk with you to see how your scheduling needs work with our Center needs.
Duties
- Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.
- Implement educational programs that encourage curiosity and creativity.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for children, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to ensure a positive atmosphere for all students.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns.
- Assist with daily routines such as meals, naps, and personal hygiene.
- Provide first aid when necessary and ensure all safety protocols are followed.
Skills
- Strong understanding of childcare principles, including caregiving techniques and behavior management strategies.
- Experience in classroom management within daycare or preschool settings is desirable.
- Ability to educate children through engaging activities that cater to their developmental needs.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Familiarity with first aid practices is essential for ensuring children's safety.
- Previous experience working with students or in educational environments is a plus.
