We are looking for a dependable, skilled maintenance technician to join our contractor network and handle work orders across our portfolio on an as-needed basis.
What You’ll Do
- Complete residential maintenance and repair work orders across our managed portfolio
- Perform general repairs including plumbing, electrical (minor), carpentry, drywall, painting, appliance troubleshooting, and unit turnover prep
- Conduct property condition checks and document findings with photos
- Communicate clearly with our operations team on job status, completion, and any issues discovered on-site
- Complete work professionally and within agreed timelines
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 3 years of residential maintenance or handyman experience
- Reliable transportation and own tools
- Strong communication; you must be responsive to dispatch and provide photo confirmation upon job completion
- Ability to work independently and manage your schedule across multiple properties
- General knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and appliance repair
- Familiarity with Chicago South Side and West Side neighborhoods preferred
- Must pass a background check
What to Expect
- Work order assignments dispatched through our operations coordinator
- 1099 independent contractor relationship; you set your schedule, we assign based on availability
- Volume of work grows with our portfolio; opportunity for consistent, ongoing work
