Operating Room Circulating RN – Full Time
Palm Beach Gardens Regional Surgery Center is seeking an experienced and motivated Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our growing team.
We are a busy multi-specialty Ambulatory Surgery Center offering a fast-paced, team-oriented environment focused on providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:
- Circulate surgical procedures while ensuring patient safety and compliance with all policies and regulations.
- Perform preoperative verification and patient assessments.
- Coordinate care with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical staff.
- Maintain accurate documentation.
- Assist in ensuring efficient room turnover and workflow.
- Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Active Florida RN License
- BLS and ACLS required
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room experience preferred
- Ambulatory Surgery Center or Hospital experience
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Duties
- Prepare the operating room by ensuring all necessary equipment, supplies, and sterile instruments are ready for each procedure.
- Act as the central communication hub during surgeries, coordinating between surgical team members and supporting staff to facilitate smooth workflow.
- Monitor aseptic techniques rigorously to maintain a sterile environment and prevent infections during all phases of surgery.
- Assist in patient positioning and safety checks prior to incision, ensuring comfort and optimal access for the surgical team.
- Document all perioperative activities accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner, including patient assessments, intraoperative events, and post-operative instructions.
- Respond swiftly to intraoperative emergencies or complications by coordinating appropriate interventions and notifying relevant medical personnel.
- Manage specimen collection and processing procedures with precision, ensuring proper labeling and documentation for laboratory analysis.
Experience
- Proven experience as an Operating Room Circulating Nurse in a hospital environment with exposure to diverse surgical specialties.
- Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner for documentation and case management.
- Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques, infection control protocols, and sterile processing standards.
- Familiarity with advanced surgical equipment including ventilators, catheters, IV infusion devices.
