Schedule: Full-Time (40 Hours per Week)
Compensation: $55–$65 per Hour
A busy multi-specialty medical practice in Riverhead, NY is seeking an experienced Full-Time Sonographer to join our growing diagnostic imaging team. We are looking for a versatile sonographer with experience in Echocardiography, General Ultrasound, and Vascular Ultrasound who is comfortable working in a fast-paced outpatient setting.
The ideal candidate must be available to work Sundays and be flexible with scheduling , as shifts may vary based on patient volume and practice needs, including early morning, evening, or weekend hours.
Spanish-speaking candidates are strongly preferred to better serve our diverse patient population.
- Perform high-quality Adult Echocardiograms (Echo) .
- Perform a wide variety of General Ultrasound examinations, including:
- Abdominal
- Pelvic
- Renal
- Thyroid
- Soft Tissue
- Testicular
- Renal Bladder
- Perform Vascular Ultrasound studies, including:
- Carotid Duplex
- Upper & Lower Extremity Venous Duplex
- Upper & Lower Extremity Arterial Studies
- Renal Artery Duplex
- Abdominal Aorta Studies
- Ensure accurate, high-quality diagnostic imaging while following established protocols.
- Prepare and educate patients prior to imaging procedures.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR.
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to ensure exceptional patient care.
- Maintain ultrasound equipment and report any maintenance or technical issues.
- Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
- ARDMS and/or CCI certification required.
- Experience performing Echocardiography, General Ultrasound, and Vascular Ultrasound is required.
- Previous outpatient or physician office experience preferred.
- Spanish-speaking strongly preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and patient care skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Must be available to work Sundays and maintain a flexible full-time schedule based on the needs of the practice.
