Position Title: Adolescent Therapist
Salary Range:
Non-licensed: $35,000 – $41,500
Licensed: $41,000 – $53,000

Position Summary: Provide quality social services/psychotherapy to children and families in the Residential Care Program of Baptist Children’s Home. The position is a 35.5-hour work week. Evening and weekend work may be required. Occasional travel may also be required. The position is full-time and eligible for benefits. The position reports to the BCH Program Manager.
Position Location: This position is located on the Baptist Children’s Home campus in Carmi, IL. The position will have office space in the Hathaway Administration Building.
Position Provisions: This position will be provided with an agency credit card for business expenses and travel, and a stipend for on-call coverage at the current approved rate.
Position Accountabilities:
Provide placement, counseling, case management, medical services and liaison duties between reciprocal agencies for clients in the Residential Care Program of Baptist Children’s Home.
- Work with families of children in placement to facilitate the speedy return of the child to a less restrictive form of care:
- Provide individual, family and group counseling.
- Provide parent training.
- Schedule regular visits for child with family.
- Maintain regular contact with child’s parent.
- Work as a team member with childcare staff and other professional staff to bring about positive change in clients:
- Provide consultation services to childcare staff.
- Provide Crisis Intervention Services as part of an “on call” rotation.
- Help design and implement therapeutic interventions.
- Provide liaison services to all schools providing services to BCH students.
- Participate in all I.E.P.’s and school meetings pertaining to BCH students as requested.
- Connect with school officials, regularly to review all BCH students and incoming students.
- Provide crisis intervention at schools.
- Supervise the educational placement of all BCH students
- Build and maintain reciprocal relationships with other agencies important to the care of children and their families.
- Develop and monitor the administration of a service plan for each child on caseload.
Position Qualifications
- Master’s in social work or human services, license preferred.
- Passionate about working in a faith-based, Christian ministry.
- Aligned with organizational mission and values.
- Active member of an evangelical church.
- Good oral communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Software.
- Ability to use EHR programs.
- Ability to work with a diverse population.
- Possess a valid State of Illinois Driver’s License.
- Meet and maintain all Agency eligibility requirements to drive residents and possess required State Driver licensure endorsements.
