The Warehouse & Logistics Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day warehouse operations, inventory control, material handling, and logistics activities that support Pro Facade’s fabrication and installation projects. This role ensures that all materials, equipment, tools, and supplies are properly received, organized, tracked, and delivered to production and job sites on time.
The position works closely with the Purchasing & Logistics Supervisor and serves as a key operational resource for warehouse and logistics activities. The Warehouse & Logistics Supervisor is responsible for executing purchasing and logistics strategies established by management while ensuring efficient day-to-day operations within the warehouse and shop environment.
Reports directly to the Purchasing & Logistics Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations
- Supervise daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, staging, and distribution of materials.
- Ensure materials are properly labeled, organized, and stored according to company standards.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.
- Oversee loading and unloading of trucks and deliveries.
- Coordinate material preparation and staging for fabrication and installation crews.
- Work closely with the Purchasing & Logistics Supervisor to prioritize material movements based on project needs.
Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate inventory records and perform routine cycle counts.
- Monitor inventory levels and report shortages, discrepancies, or damaged materials.
- Track material movements between warehouse, production, and job sites.
- Assist in implementing inventory control procedures to minimize loss and improve accuracy.
- Verify quantities received against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Provide inventory updates and material availability reports to the Purchasing & Logistics Supervisor.
Logistics Coordination
- Coordinate deliveries to job sites and pickups from vendors.
- Schedule drivers, transportation, and material transfers according to project priorities.
- Ensure materials arrive on time to support fabrication and installation schedules.
- Track deliveries and communicate delays or issues to management.
- Assist with freight coordination, material returns, and freight claims when necessary.
- Support the Purchasing & Logistics Supervisor in resolving logistics and delivery challenges.
Equipment & Tool Management
- Maintain records of company tools, equipment, and assigned assets.
- Monitor equipment condition and coordinate repairs or maintenance when needed.
- Ensure crews have the necessary tools and materials before deployment to job sites.
Team Leadership
- Supervise warehouse personnel, drivers, and material handlers.
- Assign daily tasks and monitor productivity.
- Train employees on warehouse procedures, safety standards, and inventory practices.
- Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and safety.
- Support management initiatives and operational improvements within the warehouse.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain records of deliveries, inventory transactions, packing slips, and receiving documents.
- Assist with inventory reports and warehouse performance tracking.
- Report material shortages, damages, and operational concerns to the Purchasing & Logistics Supervisor and management team.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of warehouse, inventory, logistics, or materials management experience.
- Experience in construction, manufacturing, metal fabrication, glazing, or related industries preferred.
- Forklift operation experience.
- Strong organizational and inventory control skills.
- Ability to read packing slips, material lists, purchase orders, and delivery documents.
- Basic computer skills and experience with inventory software or ERP systems.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
