School Transportation Driver (Personal Vehicle)

- Monday–Friday
- Morning Shift: 6:30 AM – 9:30 AM
- Afternoon Shift: 2:30 PM – 5:30 PM
- Approximately 30 hours per week
Job Summary
Assured Transit LLC is seeking dependable, professional, and safety-focused School Transportation Drivers to provide safe transportation for students to and from school using their own personal vehicle. Drivers must be punctual, courteous, and committed to maintaining a safe environment for every student.
This position requires the use of a reliable personal vehicle that is properly insured and maintained at all times. Drivers are responsible for all operating expenses associated with their personal vehicle, including fuel, maintenance, repairs, and automobile insurance.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to and from school according to assigned routes.
- Operate your own personal vehicle in a safe and professional manner.
- Maintain current automobile insurance and vehicle registration at all times.
- Perform daily vehicle safety inspections before beginning your route.
- Ensure students are transported safely while following all company policies and traffic laws.
- Maintain a clean, dependable, and well-maintained vehicle.
- Wear your company-issued identification badge while on duty.
- Display and operate company-provided safety equipment, including an in-vehicle camera, as required.
- Communicate professionally with dispatch, parents, school personnel, and management.
- Report accidents, incidents, traffic violations, or vehicle concerns immediately.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding students and their families.
- Provide excellent customer service while representing Assured Transit LLC.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Valid driver's license with an excellent driving record.
- Reliable personal vehicle in safe operating condition.
- Current automobile insurance with continuous coverage.
- Current vehicle registration.
- Smartphone with GPS capability and reliable cellular service.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Dependable, punctual, and professional appearance.
- Experience working with children is preferred but not required.
Pre-Employment Requirements
Employment is contingent upon successfully completing:
- Comprehensive criminal background check.
- Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) review.
- Physical examination.
- Drug screening (if required by company policy or contract).
- Verification of employment eligibility.
- Verification of a valid driver's license.
- Verification of current automobile insurance and vehicle registration.
