Property Maintenance & Carpentry Technician (Part-Time / Hourly)

Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled, dependable Property Maintenance & Carpentry Technician to support the maintenance, repair, improvement, and installation needs of both private residential properties and organizational spaces.
This is a hands-on position for someone with strong carpentry and general maintenance experience who enjoys a variety of projects. Work may include residential repairs, construction projects, custom installations, preventative maintenance, and supporting exhibition and artwork installations when needed.
This is an hourly, flexible position, with work scheduled collaboratively between the employer and employee based on project needs and availability.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in property maintenance, carpentry, construction, remodeling, or a related skilled trade.
- Strong working knowledge of carpentry methods, tools, and materials.
- Experience completing a wide range of residential maintenance and repair projects.
- Ability to troubleshoot and independently solve maintenance issues.
- Comfortable working on projects ranging from small repairs to larger improvement initiatives.
- Excellent craftsmanship and attention to detail.
- Reliable, organized, and self-motivated.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (on-site in La Jolla).
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and safely perform physical work.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience installing artwork, displays, or specialty fixtures.
- Familiarity with galleries, museums, or creative environments.
- Experience working in high-end residential properties.
- Willingness to learn museum-quality art handling and installation practices.
Schedule & Compensation
- Part-time, hourly position.
- Flexible schedule arranged collaboratively between employer and employee.
- Hourly compensation commensurate with experience and qualifications.
