Position Summary
The Journeyman Electrician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in commercial, industrial, and/or residential settings. This role requires strong technical knowledge, the ability to work independently, and leadership skills to support apprentices and job site productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in accordance with NEC and local codes
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and project specifications
- Install conduit (EMT, PVC, rigid), wire, panels, lighting, and equipment
- Perform service work, troubleshooting, and system diagnostics
- Ensure all work meets quality and safety standards
- Coordinate with foremen, project managers, and other trades
- Maintain clean and organized job sites
- Complete required documentation (time sheets, job logs, material usage)
- Mentor and supervise apprentice electricians as assigned
Qualifications
- Valid Journeyman Electrician License (state-specific)
- 4+ years of electrical experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of NEC and local building codes
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings
- Experience with commercial and/or industrial projects preferred
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Physical Requirements
