Responsibilities
- Prepare baked goods, including pastry and cake decorating, following established recipes and standards
- Package baked items efficiently while maintaining presentation quality
- Assist with food production tasks such as mixing, assembling, and decorating pastries and cakes
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively to support high-volume baking needs
- Maintain a clean workspace by adhering to food safety protocols and sanitation procedures
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about products and assisting with selections
- Support food handling procedures to ensure freshness, safety, and quality of all baked goods
Experience
- Prior experience in food preparation, baking, or pastry work is highly desirable
- Familiarity with cake decorating techniques and pastry preparation methods
- Experience working in high-volume production environments within the food industry or catering settings
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and adherence to hygiene standards
- Skills in operating kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, knives, and other baking tools
- Strong attention to detail with basic math skills for accurate measurements and recipe adherence
- Previous restaurant or catering experience is a plus but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential
