Position Summary
AIO Electric is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to lead project delivery on our water and wastewater treatment infrastructure projects. This role owns the project lifecycle from contract award through closeout — managing scope, schedule, budget, subcontracts, submittals, RFIs, and change orders while serving as the primary point of contact for general contractors, engineers, and water agency clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of assigned electrical construction projects, with a focus on industrial and municipal water/wastewater facilities
- Prepare, negotiate, and administer subcontracts and change orders
- Track and manage the submittal log, RFI log, and contract sum reconciliation for each project
- Review and interpret electrical drawings, specifications (Division 26), and project scope to identify risk and opportunity
- Coordinate with general contractors, engineers of record, and water agency representatives on schedule, sequencing, and field issues
- Manage project budgets, cost tracking, and monthly billing/pay applications
- Oversee procurement and vendor/material quote comparisons for major equipment (switchgear, MCCs, VFDs, transformers, SCADA/controls components)
- Maintain compliance with contract documents, safety standards (OSHA 29 CFR 1910.147, NFPA 70E), and quality requirements
- Identify, document, and resolve disputes or scope changes proactively to protect project margin and schedule
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years of project management experience in electrical construction, with direct experience on water treatment, wastewater treatment, or other industrial infrastructure projects (required)
- Strong working knowledge of Division 26 electrical scope, NETA testing standards, and NECA estimating methodology
- Experience with motor control centers, VFDs, switchgear, and SCADA/PLC-integrated systems
- Demonstrated ability to manage subcontracts, change orders, submittals, and RFIs on public works or heavy civil/industrial projects
- Familiarity with multi-party project structures involving general contractors, engineers of record, and public agency owners (water districts, sanitation districts, municipalities)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable drafting scope letters, RFIs, and formal project correspondence
- Proficiency with scheduling and budgeting tools (e.g., MS Project, Excel)
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites across Southern California
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with agencies such as water districts, sanitation districts, or similar public infrastructure owners
- Familiarity with public works contracting and compliance requirements
- OSHA 30 certification
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Pay: $110,000.00 - $190,000.00 per year
