Art F/X Director of Manufacturing Operations Position Overview:
The Director of Manufacturing Operations is responsible for overseeing the daily production operations of the company while driving efficiency, quality, communication, and continuous improvement throughout the organization. This position serves as a key link between production teams, leadership, procurement, and support departments to ensure operational goals are achieved while maintaining a strong culture of teamwork, accountability, and excellence.

Essential Responsibilities: Production Leadership & Daily Operations
- Oversee daily production activities to ensure jobs are completed accurately, efficiently, and on schedule.
- Provide leadership, direction, and support to production teams while promoting accountability and teamwork.
- Monitor workflow, identify production challenges, and proactively implement solutions.
- Ensure company quality standards are consistently maintained throughout all production processes.
- Work closely with department leads to identify training opportunities, operational needs, and areas for improvement.
- Assist in developing production schedules and ensuring resources are aligned with workload demands.
Process Improvement & Operational Efficiency
- Analyze current processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and increase profitability.
- Develop, document, and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to create consistency across departments.
- Identify bottlenecks within production workflows and develop actionable solutions.
- Partner with leadership to establish measurable goals and track progress toward operational improvements.
- Continuously evaluate production methods, technology, and workflows to support company growth.
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Collect, analyze, and interpret production data to assist leadership in making informed business decisions.
- Develop reports focused on productivity, efficiency, labor utilization, quality, and cost control.
- Identify trends and provide recommendations based on operational data.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and assist leadership in establishing improvement strategies.
- Utilize data-driven decision making to improve processes and profitability.
Procurement & Resource Management
- Collaborate with procurement and purchasing teams to ensure proper inventory levels and timely availability of materials.
- Assist in identifying opportunities for cost savings through improved purchasing practices, inventory management, and process improvements.
- Evaluate material usage, equipment needs, and operational requirements to support future growth.
- Communicate production needs and challenges to leadership and purchasing teams.
Team Development & Employee Engagement
- Build and maintain a positive, collaborative production environment focused on teamwork and accountability.
