Job Summary:
We are actively seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Project Manager to lead and oversee commercial construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of 5 years of proven success in managing complex commercial builds, with a deep understanding of industry best practices, project budgeting, and team coordination. As a Commercial Construction Project Manager, you will be instrumental in ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget while upholding the highest standards of quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the lead Commercial Construction Project Manager on assigned job sites, managing all phases of construction
- Coordinate with Site Supervisors all daily site operations, subcontractors, and construction teams to maintain schedule adherence and quality control
- Monitor and manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation effectively
- Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, vendors, and clients to ensure alignment and satisfaction
- Conduct site visits and inspections to enforce safety standards and compliance with OSHA regulations
- Interpret and analyze construction drawings, specifications, and contracts
- Resolve issues promptly and provide strong leadership to keep teams on track
- Maintain all necessary project documentation including progress reports, change orders, RFIs, and submittals
- Utilize construction management software such as ProCore, Microsoft Word, and Excel to track and report project progress
- Utilize ProCore construction management software to track and report project progress including all financials, commitments, and primary project budget. This is a mandatory requirement.
- Create and manage schedules using Microsoft projects, regularly updating them throughout the course of the project as require reflecting overall project status. This is a mandatory requirement.
- Drive cost control efforts to keep projects within budget and forecast expenditures accurately
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience as a Commercial Construction Project Manager or equivalent role
- Demonstrated experience managing commercial and mixed-use developments in both public and private sectors
- Deep knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, budgeting, and job site safety
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Proficient with construction software platforms (ProCore preferred)
- Skilled in interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and contracts
- OSHA compliance and safety-first mindset
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to job sites
