ABOUT WEBUILD
WeBuild Global is a national manufacturer and installer of millwork, brand elements and custom fixtures based in Commerce, Georgia. From under one roof we design, build and install builds the brand elements and customer touch points that go into restaurants, retail, and commercial spaces from coast to coast. We are built around speed, quality, and repeatability, and we hire people who work the same way.
THE ROLE
We are looking for someone to run our Commerce millwork plant day-to-day. You will own production, inventory management, quality, safety, shipping, and the team of 10 to 15 people who make it all happen. You are the person the shop floor looks at when something goes sideways, and you are the person who fixes it.
This is a hands-on role. You walk the floor, you read the drawings, you understand the machines, and you know the difference between a job that is on schedule and a job that just looks like it is.
WHAT YOU' LL DO
— Run daily production. Build the schedule, sequence work through the shop, and hit ship dates on every project.
— Plan production capacity. Look one, two, and four weeks ahead and flag the bottlenecks before they become fires.
— Accurately manage inventory. Maintain par levels of shop items, ensure on-hand quantity for project specific materials and monitor lead times for special order components.
— Own plant flow. The way work moves from receiving through CNC, processing, assembly, finishing, and out the dock door is your responsibility. If the layout is not working, you fix it.
— Lead, coach, and hold accountable a team of 10 to 15 cabinet makers, CNC operators, finishers, assemblers, and shipping staff.
— Own the process. Be able to pivot based on priority remembering that we are only as good as our last job.
— Embrace technology. We use technology to manage our projects from start to finish. You should be comfortable learning new software and technologies to help streamline the production process.
— Coordinate shipping and logistics. Loads, freight, crating, and on-time delivery to job sites across the country are part of your scope.
— Read and interpret shop drawings and engineering. Catch issues before they hit the floor and push back on engineering when something will not build.
— Own quality. If it leaves your dock, it is on you.
— Routinely coordinate with the procurement, design and installation teams on inventory. specialty materials, project priorities, change orders, and ship schedules.
— Keep the plant safe and OSHA-compliant. We do not take shortcuts here.
— Track production metrics and report honestly on what is working, what is not, and what you need.
— Train new hires and develop the bench so we can grow without breaking what we already have.
WHAT YOU BRING
— 5+ years of plant operations experience in millwork, cabinetry, casework, or architectural woodwork.
This is a hard requirement, not a wish.
— 2+ years of CNC Operating experience. Our plant starts with the CNC machine, so experience is mandatory.
— Real fluency reading shop drawings and engineering. You can spot a constructability problem before it gets to the floor.
— Production planning and scheduling chops. You understand lead times, capacity, and how to sequence work for throughput.
— Plant flow and layout instincts. You see waste and you know how to fix it.
— Working knowledge of shipping and logistics. Loads, freight, crating, and delivery coordination are part of how a millwork plant ships on time.
— Proven leadership of plant teams. The kind that retains good employees, not the kind that runs them off.
— Comfort with production scheduling tools, basic job costing, and Excel.
— Calm under pressure. Direct communicator. No drama.
NICE TO HAVE
— Experience with AWI Architectural Woodwork Standards (AWI is the Architectural Woodwork Institute, the body that sets quality grades for commercial millwork: Economy, Custom, and Premium).
— Hands-on production experience in at least 2 of the following: CNC routing, edgebanding, panel processing (panel saws, beam saws), assembly, finishing, or solid wood machining.
— Lean manufacturing, 5S, or continuous improvement background.
— Familiarity with ERP, MRP, or job costing systems used in custom manufacturing.
— Bilingual English / Spanish.
