Port Angeles High School is a comprehensive high school serving approximately 800 students in
grades 9–12. Located in the heart of the Olympic Peninsula, our school is committed to

The Port Angeles School District is seeking an experienced, student-centered educational leader
to serve as Interim High School Principal for the 2026–27 school year.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Interim High School Principal serves as the instructional and operational leader of Port
Angeles High School and is responsible for ensuring a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning
environment where students and staff can thrive. The successful candidate will provide steady
leadership while supporting student achievement, staff development, school improvement
efforts, and positive relationships across the school community.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience leading Professional Learning
Communities (PLCs), implementing and strengthening Multi-Tiered Systems of Support
(MTSS), and fostering positive school culture through proactive behavioral supports and student-
centered practices. The interim principal will work collaboratively with staff to continue
strengthening instructional systems, intervention supports, and student engagement while
maintaining stability and momentum during the transition year.
INTERIM LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITY
This interim assignment provides an opportunity for an experienced educational leader to guide
Port Angeles High School through the 2026–27 school year while supporting the continued
success of students, staff, and school improvement efforts. The district is seeking a leader who
can provide stability, maintain momentum on existing initiatives, strengthen relationships across
the school community, and position the school for a seamless transition to its next long-term
principal.
Success in this role will be measured by the leader's ability to foster a positive school culture,
support student achievement and well-being, ensure effective school operations, and build trust
with students, staff, families, and community partners.
