Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier / Hot Deli Worker to join our dynamic team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, preparing and serving food items, and managing transactions in a connivence store environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in Cashiering, food preparation, and maintaining high standards of sanitation, food safety and customer service. This position offers an opportunity to work in a brand-new convenience store, delivering quality service to our valued customers.
Responsibilities
- Operate POS systems for accurate transactions and sales processing
- Prepare and serve hot deli items, ensuring food quality and presentation meet company standards
- Handle cash, and credit card transactions, and perform basic math calculations for accurate processing
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with their orders, and questions
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in all areas of the deli and store in accordance with food safety regulations and company standards
- Restock supplies, organize the deli area, and ensure product freshness and availability
- Stock Shelves, coolers and other areas of the store
- Follow all food handling procedures, sanitation standards, and safety protocols
Requirements
- Previous experience in grocery retail, and food service, is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety standards
- Experience with POS systems is a plus
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude
- Basic math skills for cash handling, and sales calculations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift, and climb a ladder.
- Ability to obtain a Food Worker Card is required.
- Ability to pass a background check

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.13 - $19.00 per hour
