American Traveler is seeking a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) with Epic EMR and Level 1 Trauma experience for a night shift position at an acute care hospital in Urbana, IL.

Inpatient respiratory care unit at an acute care hospital in Urbana, IL
-
Patient population spans neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric age groups
-
Performs blood gas analysis (arterial, venous, and capillary) and ventilator patient assessments
-
Provides respiratory care services to patients in the Emergency Department as well as inpatient units
-
Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
-
36 hours per week, three 12-hour shifts per week
-
Weekend rotation: approximately every other weekend (3 weekends per 6-week period)
-
Holiday rotation required for major holidays

No on-call or floating requirements

Epic EMR used for charting; experience required
-
Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy
-
Minimum 1 year of relevant respiratory therapy experience

Level 1 Trauma experience required

Epic EMR experience required
-
Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)

Illinois RCP license required (license required if applicable)

NBRC Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Perform routine and critical respiratory care procedures under the supervision of a Respiratory Care Supervisor and Medical Director

Complete patient assessments, recommend timely interventions, and evaluate respiratory care plan outcomes
-
Prepare, test, maintain, and process respiratory therapy equipment; report malfunctions to management
-
Accurately document procedures, patient responses, and respiratory care in Epic, including ventilator flow sheets and care plans
-
RTO not to exceed 7 days per 13-week contract

Candidates who have previously worked at this health system may not be on continuous assignment for more than 1 year; a 6-month break in service is required before returning after reaching the 1-year mark
