Jack O' Lantern Journey is the premier family friendly pumpkin event production company in Peekskill, NY. We conceive, design, build, ship and install original content for installations with a focus on the Halloween season.
As our Shop Hand, you are our rock and the glue that keeps the cogs turning and production flowing. You will work directly with our fabrication, carpentry, and scenic teams to bring these massive displays to life. If you love hands-on work and seeing a project go from raw materials to a finished spectacle, this is the place for you.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with Casting & Production: Work alongside team members using spray paints and casting foam in molds. Must be able to deliver high-quality results in a production-paced environment.
- Assisting with Carpentry: Support the carpentry team with building and fabrication. You must be completely comfortable using power tools, including table saws and drills.
- Supporting Scenic Artists
- Shop Maintenance
Requirements & Qualifications
- PPE Comfort: Must be comfortable wearing a respirator and supplied PPE for up to a 4-hour session while working in casting room.
- Tool Fluency: Prior experience or strong comfort level with standard carpentry power tools.
- Pace: Ability to work efficiently to meet production quality standards and deadlines.
- Team Player: A positive attitude and a willingness to jump in where needed.

Salary:
- Negotiable; based on experience.
