Job Summary
We are seeking motivated and dedicated plumbers ranging from 4th year apprentices to journeymen. This position is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the plumbing industry while working alongside other skilled professionals.
Duties
- Assist other licensed plumbers in the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems.
- Learn to read and interpret blueprints and schematics to understand plumbing layouts.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete plumbing tasks.
- Support the team in construction plumbing projects by preparing job sites and materials.
- Gain knowledge of basic math skills necessary for measuring, cutting, and fitting pipes accurately.
- Help troubleshoot plumbing issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area on construction sites.
Requirements
- Licensed plumber.
- Driver's license with clean record and reliable transportation.
- OSHA Training.
- Ability to pass background and drug tests.
- Availability to work 40 hours Monday - Friday with occasional OT.
- Must be willing to work on-call and after hours/weekend work on a rotating schedule.
- Basic mechanical knowledge related to plumbing systems and components.
- Familiarity with hand tools commonly used in plumbing, such as wrenches, pliers, and pipe cutters.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics to assist in project execution.
- Understanding of construction site safety protocols and practices.
- Basic math skills for measuring lengths, angles, and volumes related to plumbing tasks.
- A willingness to learn from other experienced professionals and take direction effectively.
- Strong written and oral communication skills to collaborate with team members and job contacts on-site.
- Experience with grooving, threading, and soldering.
