Now Hiring: Accounts Receivable & Front Desk Coordinator

At Under the Sea Dentistry for Children, we are looking for an Accounts Receivable & Front Desk Coordinator who is committed to accuracy, accountability, and providing an exceptional patient experience.
This is much more than a traditional front desk position. You will play a vital role in the financial health of our practice by ensuring patient accounts are accurate, insurance claims are processed promptly, and every family receives professional, friendly service from check-out through final payment.
What You'll Do
Accounts Receivable
- Submit dental insurance claims accurately and within 24 hours
- Post insurance and patient payments
- Review Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) and resolve discrepancies
- Follow up on outstanding insurance claims and unpaid balances
- Work aging reports (30/60/90+ days)
- Maintain accurate patient accounts and documentation
- Communicate with insurance companies and patients regarding account balances
Front Desk & Check-Out
- Own the patient check-out process
- Collect patient payments at the time of service
- Explain patient balances and insurance estimates professionally
- Schedule future appointments
- Answer patient billing questions
- Assist with phones and front desk coverage when needed
- Help maintain an organized, efficient front office
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of dental front office experience
- Experience with accounts receivable, insurance claims, and payment posting
- Strong understanding of dental insurance and EOBs
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable discussing financial responsibility with patients
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient with dental practice management software
Preferred Qualifications
- Pediatric dental experience
- Experience working with aging reports and insurance appeals
- Knowledge of treatment estimates and patient financial policies
